The Create Clients:
The first thing a user contacts is a Plot Create
Client - even if he does not see it. There are three different Create
Clients:
- The command line client is integrated into
the application. The user continues using the normal print/plot functionality
of the application and therefore does not even notice that the plot system has
changed. This is the most recommended client.
- The Plot Create Client has a graphical user
interface which allows to set all parameters and select a file to plot. It can
be used if the application has no possibility to integrate the command line
client. Usually it is only used by system administrators or experienced
users.
- The Batch Client grabs the files to be
plotted from certain directories. The parameters for the jobs can be
configured to the directories - or given with job control files. This client
can be used to integrate operating systems which do not allow
RPC connections - or if somebody prefers this old fashioned way.
