ForReview Lite Integrates View and Mark-up with Microsoft Mail, cc:Mail and Lotus Notes Mail

Allegria Software (formally known as ATC) has announced the tight integration of e-mail capabilities into their ForReview Lite networkable view and mark-up product. The initial version of ForReview Lite, currently available for shipment, enables invoking Microsoft Mail, cc:Mail, and/or Lotus Notes Mail via simple point and click operations. It also provides an Application Programming Interface (API) that streamlines the integration of other e-mail packages. This integration allows e-mail messages to contain view and mark-up attachments, sending them across the network to be used and viewed by other ForReview Lite users. It is important to note that if someone wishes to use e-mail to distribute the mark-up file, they have the option of either;

: Directly attaching the underlying drawing/document (if the recipient does not have access to it) or
: Simply pointing to the underlying drawing/document (if the recipient does have access to it).

In either case, the recipient will receive the mark-ups.

According to Bob Bruns, President at Allegria; "By adding e-mail integration to ForReview Lite, we are responding to the way our users really need to use view and mark-up. ForReview Lite users can simply e-mail any of their mark-ups to other users as part of geographically dispersed concurrent-engineering session. They can even share documentation and design information between corporate partners over networks and the Internet.
